Household Appliances

During the 1920s and 1930s, many billboards advertised new or improved electric appliances. Often these billboards were electric themselves, emphasizing wonders of electricity to the consumer. Few consumers, however, were able to afford such luxuries until after WWII. A Eureka vacuum cleaner is on display on the billboard below.
