Women's Fashion Accessories
A number of fashion accessories supplemented the woman's 1940s wardrobe. Accessories appear to have been more practical during the 1940s. Coats, gloves, and pocket books replaced the jewelry and furs of the previous decades.
Gloves were commonly worn, and pocket books were carried under the arm.

Coats were long, frequently hanging to the hem of the dress. During the war, coats were tailored to match the utility clothes, but, after 1947, coats matched the more feminine "New Look" style.
