Girl's Fashions

Many of the fashions for young girls and teenagers followed the trends for women. A number of casual styles were also popular for young people in the 1950s.

Dresses with full skirts and natural waists were popular for girls and teens in the 1950s. Also notice the pony tails, which were very popular for girls in the 50s.

Jumpers were also quite popular for younger girls and were often worn over blouses.

For a casual look, jeans were quite fashionable and were often rolled up at the bottom, as seen in the images below.
