Contemporary

The Contemporary style is relatively uncommon in Vermont, particularly in rural areas, but several examples do exist. This modern style appeared in the 1950s and is characterized by its boxy, geometric form, recessed wall planes, flat roof, large windows or rows of casement windows, and lack of traditional details. The image below is an excellent example of the style.
