Eaves-Front
The eaves-front roof, usually with cornice returns, is characteristic of the early Federal and Greek Revival styles. The Federal style was popular from the late 18th century until about 1830. The eaves-front roof persisted into the Greek Revival period, which spanned from about 1830 through the 1860s. The eaves front roof was revived during the Colonial Revival period of the early 20th century and on the 1920s to 1940s bungalow.
