Round and Oval

Round windows frequently appear on Italianate and French Second Empire structures of the 1860s to 1880s. Often these windows appear in gable peaks, as seen below.

Oval windows are a common feature of 1880s and 1890s Queen Anne style houses. These windows were often decorative, as seen below.
