6/6 Sash

The 6/6 sash window became popular around the 1830s and was seen frequently on late Federal style and Greek Revival style houses. The 6/6 window was replaced by the 2/2 window around 1870, but it reappeared on many Colonial Revival structures of the early 20th century.
