Burlington Breakwater Lights

The north and south breakwater lights were constructed in 1857, and a center light was added in 1890. The structures, having been originally made of wood, were destroyed by ice.

Steel towers replaced the old structures; the north and middle lights were replaced in 1925 and the south light in 1950.

A keeper's house was constructed in 1950 but was moved into Burlington a decade later. Replicas of the original wood lights were constructed in 2003.
