Title:
Bird's eye view of town and open fields
- Date:
- 1910?
- Description:
- The historic image shows a bird's eye view of the town and surrounding landscape. There are several brick, industrial buildings along the bottom of the photograph. The industrial buildings are followed by a row of houses and a landslide on the left side of the image. Most of the town consists of houses along dirt streets. There is a large building, possibly a school or government building, in the center of the image. A cemetery is visible on a hill in the left background of the image. The landscape around the town is mostly pastures and farm fields on hills. Jeff Cueto writes on 2020-11-13: Center right appears to the VT College green. Barre St. in foreground with large buildings being granite sheds.
