Town:
Cambridge
County:
Lamoille
State:
Vermont

1920-08
Description:
Mr. and Mrs. Bigelow, and Edison Bigelow, are the subjects of this historic image. The Bigelow Family, and an unidentified man on the left, are dressed in hiking clothes and carry knapsacks and walking sticks. They are standing on a dirt road in the foreground of the image. Beyond the road, the land slopes gently upward and at the top of the small hill, there is a wooden lodge, identified as Smuggler's Notch Camp. It has a front porch covered by a tin roof and is located in a heavily forested landscape. There are many deciduous trees, as well as rocks and leafy forest plants.
