Rowboats

Rowing was a very popular pastime during the late 19th century and early 20th centuries. Men and women would don their casual dress and spend leisurely afternoons along the lakes and rivers. Simple rowboats, as seen in the top image, were common, and women would often carry parasols to keep the sun off. More fashionable boats were also available, as seen in the bottom image, with built in canopies.
