Atlantic and Arco
Atlantic became independent in 1911 upon the breakup of the Standard Oil Company. Early signs are seen below.

In 1933, the Atlantic logo was a simple red rectangle with black writing.

Atlantic merged with Richfield in 1966 and developed the Arco trademark with "spark", which was mainly used on the West Coast. Atlantic's East Coast stations were bought out by Sunoco in the 1980s.
