Cities Services and Citgo
Originating as a small-town oil and gas company in the early 20th century, Cities Services quickly expanded worldwide. Cities Services moved into Vermont around 1930.
The green and white trefoil logo, seen below, was trademarked in 1940.
In 1965, Cities Services began marketing under the name Citgo. The original green and white trefoil evolved into the red, orange, and blue trimark logo that is still used today.
