Scheble

In 1890, the Post Office accepted a mailbox produced by Eugene D. Scheble. This box, constructed of sheet metal and iron, was only produced until 1903. Note that it is more squat than previous designs, and there is a flap that lifts on curved lid into which patrons drop their letters.
