Van Dorn
At this time, in 1903, the Van Dorn Iron Works of Cleveland, Ohio, was selected to design a better, sturdier mailbox. Due to the fact that many cities saw them as homely during a time when the City Beautiful movement was underway, some Van Dorn boxes were spruced up with ornate handles. It is unknown how long this box was in use.
