Road Signs and Traffic Signals

Signs and signals are everywhere along the roadways. We take the standard shapes and sizes we see today for granted, and it seems like they never change. However, during the early days of the automobile, many of the traffic control devices we know today did not exist, and officials experimented with a number of different shapes and sizes before standardizing many of the signs and signals dotting the present day roadside.
